ATIA AI Take-Home Kit › Pain 1 · Comparison overload

Basic rung · Tool 1.a

Rewrite for the short list

Take out the words every competitor uses. Put in facts a traveler can check. Publish the same facts on every channel, then let this page check that they match.

AI drafts. You approve. Every prompt on this page asks the AI to mark its answer DRAFT - PENDING OWNER REVIEW. What you type stays in this browser: nothing is sent anywhere, and it is saved here only so you can come back. The examples use Bay Light Day Cruises, Seward, a fictional teaching business.

The pain it fixes

For the traveler

45% of US travelers name comparing multiple options as a frustrating moment in planning, the most-cited pain in the survey. When every listing says "unforgettable" and "family-friendly", there is nothing to compare.

For your business

More of the short list now comes from AI tools: 34% of US travelers use AI while researching a trip. In the report's test, one hotel question went to five AI tools and no hotel appeared in all five answers. Hotels with specific, documented amenities tended to come up more consistently than those described as "family friendly". Specific facts, published the same way everywhere, are the part you control.

Source: Skift Research + McKinsey, Winning Hearts in an Age of Infinite Travel Choices, Sept 2026 · survey of 1,015 US travelers, data as of June 2026 · US travelers, not Alaska visitors. The five-tool test is described in the same report. Figures last verified 2026-10-10.

Also fits: any listing on any channel. A lodge room page, a B&B listing, a fishing charter, a flightseeing tour, a DMO member page.

Before and after

Same business, same facts. Left: what most listings say. Right: an AI draft written only from the fact sheet below. Prepared example, not live AI output. Fictional business.

Before · generic

Unforgettable scenery, friendly crew, perfect for families. Alaska's best half-day cruise!

After · checkable facts DRAFT - PENDING OWNER REVIEW

Bay Light Day Cruises runs a 4-hour wildlife and glacier cruise from Seward, May 15 to September 15, departing at 9:00 and 14:00. Up to 40 guests; minimum age 4. The cabin is heated and enclosed, with two restrooms. Hot drinks are included; lunch is not. Meet at the small-boat harbor, a 12-minute walk from the cruise ship dock. The cruise runs in rain and cancels only for a marine warning, with a full refund. Free cancellation until 48 hours before departure; inside 48 hours, no refund. Price: [FILL]. Vessel accessibility: [FILL].

The two [FILL] items are facts the teaching data does not supply. The owner fills them from records before anything is published.

      How to use it

      1. Fill the fact sheet, or load the fictional example to see how it works. Tick Not supplied for anything you cannot confirm today. The prompt then says [FILL] instead of letting the AI guess.
      2. Paste your current listing in Step 1. The page highlights generic words and suggests a checkable fact for each.
      3. Copy the Step 1 prompt into Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini (a free account works). Check every line of the numbered fact list it gives you against your records.
      4. In the same chat, paste the Step 2 prompt. You get one version per channel.
      5. Paste each version into the channel checker. Fix anything missing or different.
      6. Fill every [FILL] from your records, publish all versions the same day, and fix your website to match Recommendation
      7. Run the one-listing test, keep the score, and rescore in 30 days.

Where to run it: one chat in Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, free tier. No files needed. These are plain links; nothing from this page goes with them.

      Your fact sheet

List only facts you have checked against your own records: your booking system, your published terms, your captain or lead guide. Tick Not supplied for anything you cannot confirm today. Empty fields also become [FILL], so the AI never has to guess.

This sheet is about your product. No guest names, emails, phone numbers or other guest details go here Recommendation

      What the page found

The checker runs in your browser with a fixed word list. It does not judge tone, and a word it misses is still worth replacing.

This is a pattern check against your fact sheet, not proof. A person still reads every line.

Step 2 · The same facts on every channel

Paste this in the same chat, after you have checked the numbered fact list from Step 1.

        Check every channel

Paste what each channel says today, or the versions the AI wrote in Step 2. The page compares each one with your fact sheet and with the others, right here in your browser. Rename the channels to match yours.

        Results

What this checker can and cannot do

It looks for the numbers, times, dates, prices, ages and group sizes in each fact, plus its key words. It treats "9 am" and "9:00", or "48 hours" and "2 days", as the same. It can miss a fact that is reworded, and it can flag a harmless difference. Treat every flag as a question for a person, not a verdict.

        The one-listing test

Monday tool · Pains 1 and 2 · about an hour

Five yes-or-no checks: does your busiest page prove what your marketing promises? One point per Yes. Keep the score and rescore in 30 days.

        1. Does the page match the post?

Same promise, season and photo style as what sent them here.

        2. Three proofs above the fold?

A dated review, a real photo, a named person.

        3. One soft next step?

"Check dates", "Ask a question" or "Save this trip", not only "Book now".

        4. Same facts everywhere?

Price, hours, meeting point and terms match Google and your OTAs. The channel checker above helps.

        5. Can you measure progression?

Saves, repeat visits or questions asked: count at least one.

        Your scores in this browser

          Get the AI's second opinion

You need a context block (ten lines on what you sell, where, to whom, season, prices, policies), your busiest listing and your last three reviews.

Remove guest names before you paste. Never paste emails, phone numbers, card numbers, IDs or health details Recommendation

          One-listing test prompt

It will be wrong about something; reading it is the point. Feeds Number 2 · direct share of bookings: a page that proves its promises is the trust lever, measured.

How you will know it worked

Number 1 · AI visibility score: the Appear and Described checks

Before you publish, run the AI visibility audit in three AI tools and write down two of its four checks for each answer. Appear: are you in the answer at all? Described: right category, place and promise? Each scores 0, 1 or 2, so five prompts give up to 20 per tool for these two checks. Rescore quarterly.

Expect no change for weeks: AI tools recrawl on their own schedule, and one week's answers are noise. Report trends over a quarter, not a single answer Recommendation

Number 2 · Direct share of bookings

Bookings on your own site or by phone, divided by all bookings. Count it monthly, starting before you change anything, so you have a baseline.

Counts only, no guest details. This page keeps them in this browser. A rewrite is not proof of more bookings: look for a trend over a season Recommendation

Next rung: 1.b Your own curated ten

Three picks per traveler type, each with the reason it made the cut, built from this fact sheet and two partners'. Paid tier, about $20 a month, a week of evenings. In the survey, 63% would pick a site showing ten curated options over one with 500 options and filters (30%) or one AI plan (7%).

Skift Research + McKinsey, Sept 2026, n = 1,015 US travelers, data as of June 2026. Effort and cost are estimates.
